Dr. V. P. Kamboj Young Scientist Awards
Dr. V. P. Kamboj, PhD, DSc, FNA, FNASc, was renowned scientist, former Director of the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) and President, National Academy of Sciences, India. His ollustrious career spans over 250 research papers, 42 patents, and numerous accolades, including the Ranbaxy Research Award in 1992 and the Vigyan Gaurav Award in 2000. Serving as the president of the National Academy of Sciences, India from 2005 to 2006, he underscored the importance of teamwork in scientific endeavours. Dr. Kamboj has been deeply associated with the Society ISSRF and participated in almost all the scientific activities of the Society. Acknowledging his rich contributions in reproductive endocrinology he had been felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Award (2014) and Prof. N. R. Moudgal Memorial Oration Award (2018) of the ISSRF.
Dr. V. P. Kamboj Young Scientist Awards have been instituted for outstanding contributions by young researchers in the field of reproductive health.
Two Young Scientist Awards
There are following two awards under this category:
(i) For candidates pursuing Ph.D. programme in reproductive biology, have published one paper in peer-reviewed journal and are below the age of 30 years.
(ii) For candidates working as Post-doctoral fellows, preferably have published two papers on aspects of reproductive biology in peer-reviewed journal and are below the age of 40 years.
The recipients will be presented with a cash award of Rs. 3,000, a gold plated medal and a citation (each).
