Prof. N. R. Moudgal Young Scientist Awards

Prof. N. R. Moudgal, FASc, FNA was a distinguished reproductive biologist/endocrinologist. His research contributions in immunocontraception with anti-oLH in females and anti-FSH in males have been widely acclaimed.

Prof. Moudgal was recipient of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award, BC Guha Award Sreenivasayya Memorial Award of SBC (I), Sanjay Gandhi Award for Science and Technology (1984) and the Yellapragada Subbarow Birth Centenary Lecture Award of INSA. He was a Homi Bhabha Fellow.

Prof. N. R. Moudgal Young Scientist Awards have been instituted for outstanding contributions by young researchers in the field of reproductive health. 

Two Young Scientist Awards

There are following two awards under this category:

(i)         For candidates pursuing Ph.D. programme in reproductive biology, have published one paper in peer-reviewed journal and are below the age of 30 years.

(ii)        For candidates working as Post-doctoral fellows, preferably have published two papers on aspects of reproductive biology in peer-reviewed journal and are below the age of 40 years.

The recipients will be presented with a cash award of Rs. 3,000, a gold plated medal and a citation (each).
